Minimondo

A cozy language-learning game

Learn by living in a small town: meeting neighbors, running errands, and using language because the moment gives it meaning.

The project

Language with a place and a purpose.

The idea

Instead of presenting language as a sequence of disconnected lessons, Minimondo places it inside a compact life simulation. The town creates reasons to greet someone, ask for help, make plans, or buy something.

What I’m focusing on now

The first version is centered on making one small district feel alive: recurring neighbors, useful routines, gentle support when it is needed, and a daily rhythm that makes returning feel natural.

Why a real game matters

The aim is not to add points to homework. It is to make communication part of play, so understanding something changes what you can do and how you relate to the town around you.
